Kevin Gao

Founder and Vice President

Kevin founded the company in silicon valley with a vision of:

• Connecting solar manufacturers in China to solar product end markets in the west.

• Offering high efficiency, high quality products at lower cost to customers.

• Providing ongoing services to customers locally, thereby providing peace of mind.

Kevin has nearly 20 Years of experience in sales & marketing, strategic M&A, manufacturing & operation management, local sourcing & global sourcing, engineering R&D in solar, semiconductor equipment and automotive industries.

Prior to founding CA Solar LLC, Kevin was Director of Manufacturing at Electroglas, Inc. - a Nasdaq listed semiconductor equipment company located in San Jose, California - reported to Chairman, CEO, and COO of company. He was responsible for managing manufacturing operation team in US, Singapore and China. Previously he was Senior Manager at Foxsemicon Integrated Technology Inc, a Foxconn company, was responsible for business development, M&A, supply chain & logistics management for its US operation.

Kevin also spent over 10 years in engineering R&D. He worked as a senior engineer at Lam Research Corporation, a leading semiconductor equipment company, developed its flagship wafer etch product that took over the leadership position from its biggest competitor Applied Materials. He also worked at Dana Corporation and Rockwell International Corporation in developing clutches and axles in automotive industries.

Kevin holds a Master's of Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Cincinnati. He attended MBA program at California State University. Kevin Holds three US patents, and one patent in Europe and Brazil. 

Sean White

Executive Solar Consultant

Dr. Sean White is an Executive Solar Consultant at CA Solar LLC.  Dr. White is also an advanced PV Design Adjunct Professor at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California & has also taught PV at Merritt College in Oakland California, where he gave his students the NABCEP Entry Level Certificate of Knowledge Examination. He is also a visiting PV Design & Installation Instructor at Infinite Solar School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Sean has had hundreds of students across California solar industries including students from leading solar companies such SunPower Corporation & Solyndra. He also designs commercial and residential PV systems in San Francisco Bay Area where he has a PV Design Service. He has designed several solar farm projects over mega watts and has done consultancy for a number of solar installation firms such as Fidelity Roof & Solar in Oakland, Century Solar in Hayward & Green House Energy in the Washington DC Metro Area. Dr White is a California licensed solar installer, and is member of The American Solar Energy Society, Northern California Solar Energy Association & the Redwood Empire Solar Energy Association.

Robert Holz

Director of Sales, Regional Office, New York

Robert Holz has 20 years experience in sales within the energy industry. He has completed numerous, commercial solar projects.

Prior to joining Ca Solar LLC, Mr. Holz was the Director of Sales (Eastern Region) for Solar Integrated Technologies. There he developed and installed solar electric systems for public and private organizations. He was also responsible for building and servicing distributorships.

Robert also spent a number of years at Chevron Energy Solutions as their New York Business Development Manager. He was responsible for large scale energy efficiency project sales. While at Chevron, he completed the largest solar installation in western New York at State University of New York (Buffalo).

Mr. Holz also worked at Johnson Controls Inc. as Sr. Account Executive. There he was responsible for developing and implementing large scale energy efficiency projects within the heath care industry. Robert brings a strong commitment to customer satisfaction to CA Solar LLC.

Dr. Yiqing Du, Ph.D, CFA

Chairman

Dr. Yiqing Du is non-executive Chairman of Board. Dr. Du is a certified CFA member - the most prestige association of investment professionals. Dr. Du has spent over 5 years in financial and fund management industry as Senior Associate at Morgan Stanley (MSCI), led a team of senior developers in developing the most advanced risk analysis and benchmark tools for fund and asset managers globally. Prior to this, Dr. Du worked at Microsoft as a software engineer from 2000-2004. Before joining Microsoft, Dr. Du was a Post-Doctorate Researcher at MIT in fields of plasma, electro-magnetic field, fluid dynamics, and DARPA projects sponsored by NASA.

Yiqing holds Ph.D degree of Applied Mathematics from Brown University, and Master degree from Nankai University, China. Dr. Du published a number of papers in leading research journals including the Science Magazine. Dr. Du holds one US patent.
